Persian blue salt is extracted from a salt mine in Semman Province, northern Iran. This is the only salt mine where this salt can be found. This salt is collected by hand. The salt has a rare color variety. This is caused by shifts and open spaces in the crystal structure, which makes the salt appear blue. The blue color is thus a rare and optical effect.
Mild salty taste ideal with seafood or salads.
Packed in a nice see through pepper mill.
