This noble rare pepper comes from the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and is named after the port town of Tellicherry (Thalassery). The taste of the almost ripe harvested pepper berries is very aromatic and slightly sharper than regular black pepper.
The tellicherry pepper is more intense, nutty and warmer in taste than the regular black pepper. The scent is somewhat reminiscent of tea and sandalwood.
Delicious on roast beef, all red meats and fatty fish.
Packed in a nice see through pepper mill.
